On September 11, 2001, Tom was based at Barksdale Air Force Base, running a drill securing planes with nuclear missiles.  His team’s drill was disrupted during the announcement of the fall of the Twin Towers.  They needed to stow the planes back and hide the missiles.  Tom’s week-long drill was expedited in reverse.  He stayed at work and couldn’t sleep for 24 hours.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, GiGi had just started her class when she heard the news.  She took a moment to explain the news to her third graders and the idea of terrorism.  Her mom was also calling her from her job at Naval Air Station, Lemoore.

Where were you on 9/11?  We will never forget.  The memory of those who perished on 9/11 reminds us of why we continue to fight against those who commit acts of terrorism.  A+ Dog Training would like to take a moment and “paws” in honor of all who were affected by the events of 09/11/01.
