Hesitation is Not Failure

Hesitation is Not Failure

It is normal for a dog to hesitate around something unfamiliar and to need time to understand what you are asking.  It’s normal for them to resist something that does not make sense to them yet.

For her first time in the pool, Millie doesn’t need to jump in and swim.  She only needs to take one step of faith.

One step off with patience, calmness, trust, and confidence.  When Millie feels uncertainty from her human, the moment can become a negotiation.

A+ Dog Training shows you how to remain clear and follow through.  Doing so allows your dog to learn, adjust, and build trust in your leadership.  It’s normal for your dog to need guidance through something new.  And it’s normal when it doesn’t come easily right away.  Stay patient, calm, and confident.  And if you need more guidance, A+ Dog Training is here for you!
