Beginning to Intermediate Obedience

Rosie is at a Sit Stay and ready for the next command!

Once your puppy understands the rules and boundaries at home and manners out in public, it’s time to take obedience training to the next level.

Basic Stay = for a short amount of time (e.g. stopping to let humans pass through the door first)

Intermediate Stay = in a bed or specific place for a long amount of time (e.g. living room dog bed while you’re cooking in the kitchen or having dinner with the family in the dining room)

Get creative with your obedience training!  Often owners say, “My dog now knows how to Stay, Come, Leave It, and walk with a loose leash.  Now what?  What’s next?”

A+ Dog Training will challenge you to work on Stay, Come, Leave It, and walk with a loose leash but with more time, distance, or intense distractions.
