Something that we teach dog handlers is that when they stop while walking their dog on leash & in public, their dog should be facing the same direction that they are.  Should your dog spot something that you don’t, they can lunge toward it causing you to injure your shoulder or be knocked off balance.  I saw this happen to a neighbor the other day and thought it was important to share this reminder.
