**Please note that all classes are for clients that have signed up for a Delightful program, Calm Canine program, or A+ Lifetime membership. Classes are not open to the public. Due to COVID-19, classes are in high demand but limited to 12 dogs per class. Please contact GiGi to enroll.
You’ve worked with Tom on obedience training in the home, now it’s time to get your buddy to focus on you with outdoor distractions. Dogs are social animals and without proper training they will misbehave. Have fun learning all the elements needed to turn your canine companion into a healthy, well-behaved family dog.
This is our basic obedience class for dogs of all breeds and ages.
5 Consecutive Wednesdays from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M.
starting on April 21, 2021, at Dale Pinkney Park (Cherry Blossom Lane) in Turlock, CA.
Pet owners MUST provide proof of Rabies, Distemper and Parvo vaccinations and dog license at first class.
Bring a bag of dog treats to class.
COVID-19 Policies & Guidelines
• Self-screening for health and temperature checks will be required at home prior to classes for all that attend.
• If sick or exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or have family who are ill, you will be able to remake the missed class sessions.
• Leashes will not be shared. Should A+ Dog Training have to touch another’s equipment, proper hand sanitizing will be implemented in accordance with the CDC guidelines.
• Signage for recommendations of the practice of social distancing and to recommend wearing face masks will be on-site during classes at the park.
• Water will be provided for the dogs but not for individual people during class.
• Classes will be reconfigured to allow for at least eight feet between households. Face coverings are always strongly recommended for clients, especially when physical distance of at least six feet is not possible. Face coverings must not be shared. A+ Dog Training will remain at least 8 feet away while teaching. Tom will not have a mask on so that all could hear during class. A+ Dog Training will wear a mask when approaching clients and cannot keep a six-foot distance.
• A+ Dog Training will discourage clients from engaging in handshakes, hugs, and similar greetings that break physical distance protocol, and take reasonable measures to remind people to wave or use other greetings.
• A+ Dog Training will continue to support clients who are vulnerable to COVID-19 including older adults and those with underlying health concerns. There is no restriction on when class sessions expire, within reason due to COVID-19.
• Cones and other training items will be disinfected prior to and after every class.
• Hand sanitizer will be provided for use during classes. Measures will be implemented to ensure physical distancing of at least six feet between A+ Dog Training and clients. This can include cones during classes. Reconfiguring class structure to maintain physical distancing of at least six feet or more between clients from different households. Classes will be reduced in size to maintain safe physical distancing. Members of the same household may group together but should maintain at least six feet of distance from other households.
• Children will remain in the care of their household unit and not interact with children of other parties at any time while in class. Children are discouraged to play at the City park structures during class.
• Clients will be encouraged to physically distance themselves from others outside their household, avoid touching surfaces, and to leave the class or appointed training session if they do not feel well.
