National K9 Veterans’ Day

March 13th is National K9 Veterans’ Day.

Let’s thank and pray for all of those K9 handlers and their dogs serving our country.

Remember, with each private training program purchased, A+ Dog Training will donate $12 to the Military Working Dog Team Support Association, Inc. for care packages sent out to the dogs and their handlers stateside and overseas. So, let your friends and family know – or better yet, buy a program for them and donate to a worthy cause!

Crate Training Your Dog

Akila might not look like she’s enjoying her crate, but she actually went into her crate when Tom tried to take her picture.  Crate training gives your dog a safe place to go to when they get nervous or anxious.  It also helps your dog feel more comfortable when traveling.  Call A+ Dog Training at 209-985-7898 if you need help crate training your dog.  Before you know it, summer will be here and you’ll be glad that your dog is crate trained and ready to join you in all of your summer traveling adventures!  And yes, your dog is not too old to be crate trained.

Turlock Pack Walk This Saturday

These two dogs are reminding you that there’s two days left until the Free Community Pack Walk held at CSUS in Turlock.  Joy & Teddy would like to warn you that Tom will be checking to see if you bring bags for waste and a NON-retractable leash.  Remember, only one dog per person.  Meet at 10:00 A.M. at the corner of Monte Vista Ave. & Crowell Road on campus.  Come and go as you please.  Bring your friends and family.

Final Kindergarten Regstration Today

Today from 5:30 – 6:30 P.M., A+ Dog Training will be registering puppies for the upcoming Kindergarten class.  The class is five consecutive Thursdays 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. for small pups & 7:15 – 8:15 P.M. for large pups held @Taylor ER Veterinary.  Please come by @PetAvenue today at 5:30 to register your puppy.  This is your final chance to register!

Did you know that if you’re looking for a particular product Pet Avenue could help you get it?  Our Labrador can only eat his dog food and Greenies (which we use when we don’t brush his teeth and as a special treat after a long day’s work for A+ Dog Training).  I couldn’t find the large quantity box so I told Pet Avenue.  They ordered it, called me that it was in, and I walked my dog over to pick it up.  I was excited to share this gem of a tip with you about Pet Avenue that I took pictures in front of their store.  Unfortunately, Ammo was more excited about a trip to Pet Avenue and receiving his dental bones that he wouldn’t sit still enough.

Tango Yankee from Ammo

At A+ Dog Training we believe in giving back!  Whether it’s a Delightful, Calm Canine, or A+ Lifetime program, $12 will be donated to the Military Working Dog Team Support Association each time a new dog owner signs up for a program.  And as a big Thank You (Tango Yankee) for your donation, each new household will be given a Tango Yankee coin to pass on as a reminder to keep giving and keep caring.
